When we say we're are specialists, we mean it. Custom Aviation has been specialising in tube and fabric aircraft since it's inception in 2008, and that will never change.
We believe in the long term future of tube and fabric aircraft and endeavour to keep the tradition alive.
Not to say that we only maintain fabric aircraft, we also maintain all metal aircraft at our Part 43 maintenance facility at Taieri Airfield.
Restoration
Whether a SuperCub, Maule or a Tiger Moth, we have the tools, training and knowledge to complete a ground up restoration tailored to your own individual requirements.
Insurance Repairs
We have built a relationship with insurance companies as s a preferred repairer for tube and fabric and microlight aircraft.
Kit Set Builds
From Rans to Vans, Custom Aviation has completed over 30 microlight aircraft kitset builds. We can talk you through the process of buying and building a kit aircraft, as well as complete the build for you.
Line Maintenance
50 hour or 100 hour/annual due? Our licenced engineers hold ratings for group 1 and 3 fixed wing and group 1 piston engines, and are able to get you back in the air ASAP.
Parts/sales
Should you need any parts for your aircraft, we are able to source and deliver them from NZ or abroad. If you would like buy an aircraft, we are able to source and carry out a pre-purchase recommendation inspection for you.
Paint
There is a certified paint shop on site to carry out a full repaint or minor paint repair.
